Bath Time

The girls LOVE bath time, we usually do one every other night, but now that it's nice outside and they have been digging in the dirt, rolling in the grass and getting sweaty in the warm sun. It's been bath night every night and they love it.

The barbie dolls swim, the girls practice floating on their back and putting their face in the water. There are special bath songs sung by Brian, lots of bubbles and of course the fun hair dos. Ending it by being wrapped in a fluffy ducky or puppy towel... what's not to love!

Seanny Boy

This is my cousin Sean Powers, we call him Seanny Boy. His studying to become a Jesuit priest. In doing this he has been away for quite a long time and I know my aunt and uncle miss him. His world is so different than mine, or maybe not... he is living life serving God and I am living my life serving my children and family. Different but maybe a tiny bit the same. I send him love on his journey, one that I think we all had foreseen in his future as a young child. Just as everyone figured I might grow up to be an artist, Seanny Boy would become a priest.

He is on the cover of "Jesuits in Formation" magazine this quarter, click here to read the story.

Barbie & Star Wars

Girl toys - boy toys, it doesn't matter in this house, it's all good. As you can see Chewbacca and his gang can kick it up and enjoy a movie, pizza and bowl of popcorn in the barbie house, with a horse hiding behind the couch. But what did C-3P0 do to be shunned to the kids table?

Sooooo Tired!

Sweet little Anna, she still needs a nap but doesn't want to take one. This day Brian took the girls to the park and the toy store and on the way home Anna fell asleep. They came inside, she took off her jacket and shoes and laid down on the steps and fell back asleep. Sleep baby sleep!

Anna doll

Introducing the "Anna" doll... I have a great idea to make customized dolls using images of real children. This is the first one I created and I must say it looks a bit odd, I will have to spend some extra time in the lab to get this one perfected. Look for the "Amelia" doll... coming soon.

What's for dinner?

What's for dinner, let the kids decided. We took large paper and traced a plate, knife, fork and spoon on it. Then I gave each girl an old recipe magazine and let them go to town cutting and gluing (one of their favorite things to do).  There was paper everywhere but it kept them busy for about 45 minutes. Anna's plate had a chicken and rice item and everything else was a dessert! A fun and easy project!
